We are part of the Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO) scheme

The scheme provides Government funding for energy-efficient, condensing boilers, which reduce carbon emissions and can save around £300 per year on your fuel bills. This is part of the Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO) scheme or “Affordable Warmth” which is aimed at addressing fuel poverty in across the UK.

FAQs

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) Scheme was set up in April 2013. The purpose of the scheme is to help eligible customers make their homes more energy efficient. This is done by the installation of measures such as Cavity, External or Internal Wall Insulation, Loft Insulation, Boiler Upgrades etc. 

The most current scheme, ECO 4, will be available for eligible customers between April 2022 and March 2026 with the mission to improve their homes EPC’s rating to a minimum rating of a C. 

To qualify for ECO 4, you must fit the following criteria: 

  • An EPC rating of a D or below (we can produce an EPC if you do not have previously have one 
  • Along with being a recipient of one of the following; 
  1. Income-based Job Seekers Allowance
  2. Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  3. Income Support
  4. Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
  5. Working Tax Credit
  6. Child Tax Credit
  7. Universal Credit
  8. Housing Benefit
  9. Pension Credit Savings Credit
  10. Child Benefit

There is an alternative method where your local council can apply for funding for you if you are not a recipient of any of the previous listed benefits.
